The North Shore of Lake Superior stretches 150 miles from Duluth, Minnesota to the Canadian border. From there it stretches to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The surrounding land has been worn down over several glacial periods. Rocky land supports northern coniferous forests and many glacial lakes.
